Cliff Stagg's relationship with Teaser's crew dates back further than Mike's current ownership of the boat. If fact, Cliff is the current owner of Mike's previous boat, the Laser 28 "Prophet." (It's always been Mike's lamentation that the name wasn't "ProFIT").

The crew really digs sailing with Cliff. It's not because he coined what has become our slogan "Shut Up and Drive," and it's not because he's an experienced sailing professional with many Pacific Cup's under his belt or that he cuts us KILLER sails (after all, who really wants to point higher while going faster than the rest of the fleet) as part of his work at the Ellison/Patterson Sail Loft (www.epsails.com). Nope, none of that matters as much as the fact that Cliff is the keeper of Stella, the Portuguese Water Dog who is our unofficial mascot!
